The defining moment for the life you desire quickly arrives when you accept the fact that you have no attachments for a desired outcome. That's right. Roll your spiritual dice and gladly embrace life moment by moment. On the quest for enlightenment it is easy to become a spiritual junkie looking for quick fixes and instantaneous healing, We scan the computer looking for self-help videos,astrological predictions, the turn of a tarot card, and incense, oils, and brews that offer a temporary high filled with promise and hope yet many of us fail to do the follow through work. The work begins by liberating yourself from your ego.

      Your ego will focus on attachments to things and always provides you with a constant craving for more and more. The insatiable high of defining yourself by what you have instead of who you are as a person. When one is spiritually enlightened, there is a constant appreciation for life just as it is. It doesn't matter if the ego is getting what it wants or does not want anymore because the illusion of the material world has been busted. When you understand that every desire also has a flip side that requires maintenance we are held to a new responsibility that puts us to the test of being able to do the necessary work because every time we get something we want we will always get something we don't want for instance: the new car that comes with the payment book which means that we have to keep a cash flow coming in to pay for all of the incidentals that we may have overlooked; the big house that also has the big utility bills; the relationships that test our security and self-worth every time there is an argument-you get it. Enlightenment comes when we realize that we have to stop being so pushy, forceful, and manipulative, by imposing our will on every situation and just allow the Universe to let things flow our way. 

      It's OK to be happy for the abundance that you draw into your life but enjoy it without attachment or expectations. The material world is very fleeting. Simply practice being grateful for whatever is in your life right now, this very moment and enjoy it even if it is the peace and quiet of doing nothing at all. This alone will instigate a dynamic shift in your consciousness. All of your answers are within you and any outside guidance that you seek is merely to help you gain perspective on the choices that you make. We are only victims of our own decisions.

      Here are a few practices to help you achieve true enlightenment:

• Identify patterns that seem to bring you problems. Sit with your problems and identify the part YOU played in creating them and don't focus on the other players. Remember your actions were your choices-no victim consciousness allowed.
• Be silent. Turn off the clatter, computers, and cell phones. Listen to you inner voice that whispers true guidance. All answers are easily attainable from within. Do not doubt yourself.
• No more manipulation or blame. Drop these practices immediately for they are ego based.
• Stop focusing on problems and worries because where you put your attention is where you put creative energy into manifesting outcomes that you probably don't want to come about. Become the master of your own story.
• Get out of your own head. Your mind and emotions can distort your experiences. Practice acceptance because there is a time to let go of certain people and situations. Be grateful for what you learned about yourself through your participation.
• Do not label or judge by what you experience via your physical senses. Take it up a notch and begin to discern by the energy you feel. It is usually a gut feeling.
• When you focus on the simple feeling of just being HAPPY you will immediately begin to draw situations into your life that keep that good vibe going. Allow yourself to feel relaxed and content-it's possible even in a material world.
• Careful with vision boards because you might become attached to only one particular outcome which leaves you shut off from possibly achieving something even better than expected. No attachments or expectations.

If My Astrology Chart Looks Good Than Why Am I Having Such A Shitty Day?

    Some of the sites with the biggest hits on the internet are the horoscope sites. We often find ourselves, even the quasi-believers, clicking on the inbox email that delivers the curious peek at our horoscope to get a heads up on the “what next.”

     Don’t get me wrong. I am all for promoting astrology sites and daily horoscopes but viewing them as mere folly for the day or in the vein of superstition is as bad as trying to diagnose your physical health issues on Web MD.  The value of astrology lays in the realization that it is an important method for recognizing your potential for personal growth and spiritual unfoldment. 

      Astrology is not a dogma, a specific tenet or doctrine authoritatively laid down, but rather a tool which works in a very fluid, holistic, and complex manner to access and expand your own consciousness.  Your potential and possibilities held within your unique birth chart are only validated by your intention and ability to work with these built in, energy gifts from the planets.

      I sometimes have a client who will want to know why they are having such a shitty period in their life when the “text book” definition of their planetary placements show a stellar life filled with rewards and accolades. 

    Look at it this way, just because you were accepted into a top Ivy League University is no guarantee that you will get a 4.0 average, graduate with honors, and become the CEO of a fortune 500 company.  You have to apply yourself and consciously work toward your goal.

   Being a super wealthy person is not a free pass into also having a great personal life.  You can be financially wealthy put personally crippled if the effort is not put out toward having good friendships.

   A birth chart, or Solar Return chart, which looks at your year ahead, is only a map of your POTENTIAL and POSSIBILITIES.  You have to work with your strong planets, not give in to the agitating planets and pay close attention to your mind set.  Your own actions and choices determine how the planets deliver their energies to you.

   Jupiter, the great benefic planet, brings on expansion and “a lot of something.”  It can also bring you a lot of what you don’t want depending on how you choose to work with the planetary influence built into your chart and also activated by transits of other planets. Astrological information is constantly updating due to planetary movements, eclipses, and new cosmic discoveries.

     Astrology is not a superstition.  It's not fortune telling. Your astrology chart can be used as a personal system of information and wisdom. The planetary movements along with the Sun and the Moon are indicators that show you the nature, meaning, and duration of various developmental periods in your life and knowing how to work with these energies will help you navigate the challenges and opportunities that may be presented.

    Astrology is an empowering modality that helps us to defy fate, make order out of chaos and become aware of our freewill to make choices in our quest to understand the fundamental nature of consciousness, that mysterious aspect essential to human existence.

  If you check your Susan Miller horoscope and she indicates that you are going to have a good day and instead the day bombs than whom do you blame?  The astrologer, the planets,????  Look first to the choices that you made, the company that you choose to interact with, and a bit of Karma thrown in for good measure.

   Interacting with other people is a recipe for a Cosmic Cocktail that may leave you with a synastry chart hangover.  SYNASTRY means “together with the stars”. It is the art of analyzing a relationship of two or more people.  Your conscious decisions determine wheather you play on the high tip of the planetary energy or are tempted to engage in the underlying aggravating qualities of the horoscope. 

   Every horoscope is all good and all bad depending on your choices and actions.  Nothing pisses an astrologer off more than to have a client tell them that an anticipated good period according to transits proved to be nothing more than disastrous.  Do not take for granted that a positive outcome is guaranteed.  You still have to be a vigilant participant in your horoscope chart.

     A doctor can give you medicine but you won’t get better unless you follow his advised instructions and also not combine anything contraindicated that will temper the results of the medicine.  A lawyer can only advise you in legal matters.  A financial planner can only suggest prosperous moves for your money.  Your actions, choices, and intentions, determine the end results.  Astrology works the same way.  It is about POTENTIAL and POSSIBILITIES offered to you based on your decisions and executions of your actions.

    For the record-divination through astrology, tarot, palm reading, and whatever other methods are used for a peek at up-coming potentials, are all meant to be a form of spiritual guidance.  They are to spark your consciousness into action and you decide if it will be proactive or self-sabotaging.  What the “F”?  Fortune telling is a term that should have been retired centuries ago.  Divination methods are tools for self-empowerment and enlightenment.

   So the next time you have a “shitty day” don’t blame it on Saturn, the Moon or your astrologer.   Look to see if you missed the opportunity to view your Saturn energy as an opportunity to tighten up your life, restrict distractions, and build a better mouse trap.  Saturn’s vibration of discipline can be negatively realized as limits if you choose to act in that mindset.

   Your astrology chart offers you the opportunity to look at a road map filled with pit falls, possibilities, and surprises.  You choose the path and you interpret the experience.

Enlightenment is the new “Sexy.”

Each day brings us further along in our transformation to higher consciousness. Right now many of you reading this may be going through the “letting go” phase as you morph and adapt to better fit in with the changing vibes that now will bring Earth and her inhabitants closer to a celestial awakening. This will allow us to experience life beyond the material world.  We are opening up to the field of energy or light that ushers in the Age of Enlightenment.

Our gradual shift into the now open doors of the higher dimensions beyond the third dimension of materialism will enhance our sensitivity to frequency.  Everything even to blades of grass or your morning cup of coffee possesses a distinct vibration or frequency. The more responsive and sensitive to frequency we become the more we start to adjust our personal vibrations. Our fine tuning will redefine our relationship to the material world along with recalibrating the energy attachments we have to people, places, and things.  Our attachments have an “emotional umbilical” cord of sorts to them that often times scares us when it comes to “let go.” By being tethered to material things, unhealthy relationships that don’t serve you any growth or other lower vibrations that are barely humming along, only hinders your experience of venturing toward expanded consciousness.

We get addicted to comfortable routines, predictable outcomes and even certain kinds of sadness or depression.  Depression does just what the word implies-it depresses your frequency; keeps you at a mid-range frequency and shuts you down to the possibility of anything outside of your comfort zone.  Living in a 3-dimensional box can get quite boring, don’t you agree?

The word apocalypse scares a lot of us because we associate it with endings.  The word apocalypse has it origins in the Greek word apokálypsis which means revelation, equivalent to apokalýp (tein) to uncover, reveal.  It is the lifting of the veil between the worlds of three dimensional consciousness to expose the dimensions of higher spiritual knowing. It is often through our own personal apocalypse that we learn how to let go of what is no longer viable energy for us.  Maybe a job that ends was a dead end job to begin with; a relationship that harbors insecurities, resentment and fear keeps you in victim consciousness until it reaches a final conclusion. Endings give you the opportunity to grow because every ending offers within itself a brand new beginning. Spirit energy will always push you to advance your own vibration in keeping with the evolutionary laws of the Universe even if it seems like a hard lesson. No pain no gain.

As our planet, Earth, approaches the inner realms of the Milky Way Galaxy we will be exposed to a new environment that operates primarily from the faster frequencies that well surpasses the hard, definable, three dimensional world of weights and measures. It is here that we get to experience all the expanded, extrasensory features of our spirit essence sans the restrictive dogma that still vibes to organized rules and restrictions. We are moving toward the light and I guess that it is safe to say that enlightenment is the new “sexy.”
